In 1994 Lexicon developed a prototype training systems for the CT7 Turboprop engine. This prototype employed a novel design that allowed users to disassemble a virtual engine on the screen. The prototype was tested with users having no experience with turbine engines, as well as experienced turbine mechanics, unfamiliar with this system. Both groups showed significant gains in knowledge. The Technical Operating Report Issues in Hypermedia Design is available from Lexicon Systems. |
