Rotodata training module

Testing an operating turbine engine requires measuring gas temperature and pressure at different points in the hot exhaust. Rotodata is a computer-driven probe positioning system used for such testing at GE.

To train operators we used manufacturer's instructions, photos, and diagrams, to create a fully-operational simulation. Users can toggle values for the probe position, check alignment, and start/stop the test sequence. As the probe moves indicators update in real time. The simulation is complemented with step-by-step instructions for setting up and operating the system.
