Convincing Evidence: Twelve Angry Men and Persuasion Techniques.

NTC Contemporary Books, a leading publisher of adult basic education materials, asked us to develop models for basic skill instruction that went beyond the "page-turning" programs typical of much educational multimedia.

We developed a series of model lessons in reading comprehension, math computation, and problem solving. The lesson on methods of persuasion and propaganda draws on the jury deliberations in the classic movie Twelve Angry Men.Seeing and hearing these techniques allows limited proficiency readers to more quickly understand them.
